Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in 30 attacks committed by the Russian occupation troops in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area today.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center, the Ukrainian soldiers were forced to open retaliation fire being attacked with heavy weapons.

"The enemy shelled positions on the outskirts of Avdiivka, Troitske, and Luhanske in Donetsk direction with 120 mm mortars. The defenders of Avdiivka, Opytne, and Troitske came under strikes with 82 mm mortars.

"The enemy fired upon the strong points near Luhanske with IFV weapons, employed grenade launchers of various systems and large-caliber machine guns against defenders of Pisky, Luhanske, and Troitske.

"In Mariupol direction, the adversary shelled defenders of Ukraine deployed near Taramchuk with 82 mm mortars. An anti-aircraft gun was used against marines near Shyrokyne. The strong points in the vicinity of Vodiane were fired at with grenade launchers and machine guns. Pavlopil defenders came under a grenade launcher strike. The enemy snipers committed attacks at Hnutove and Vodiane.

"In Luhansk region, the enemy shelled defenders of Novozvanivka with 82 mm mortars. Grenade launchers of various systems were employed against Ukrainian troops' positions at Novooleksandrivka," the situation report reads.
