Two civilians were killed in the militants' attacks yesterday, Censor.NET reports citing the ATO press center.
"Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) confirms that the militants have increased the use of heavy weapons. They attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. Over the past 24 hours, the militants fired six 125 mm tank shells, six dozen 120 mm mortar shells, and 93 mortar shells of 82 mm caliber. Moreover, the terrorists assaulted Ukrainian positions at Marinka, Avdiivka, Troitske, Shyrokyne, Opytne, Krasnohorivka, Zenit from IFV weapon, automatic grenade launchers, large large-caliber machine guns and small arms," the report reads.
The largest number of heavy militants' attacks was recorded in the vicinity of Zaitseve and Vodiane as the terrorists fired two dozen 122 mm shells and four dozen 82 mm mortar shells. Two local residents were killed in Zaitseve as a result of the militants' attack.
Today, at 6 a.m., the pro-Russian militants attacked Ukrainian positions at Troitske and Hnutove using 120 and 82 mm mortars.
