Voronenkov's wife Maria Maksakova also arrived.
The law enforcement officers, forensic experts, and many journalists are currently working in the area of the murder.
A handgun is lying on the sidewalk next to the body of assassinated Voronenkov. According to law enforcers, a TT pistol was found at the murder scene.
Wounded Voronenkov's bodyguard and the attacker, who also received injury, were taken to the hospital.
A large number of cartridge cases were found at the scene. The witnesses earlier said that they heard seven shots being fired.
Voronenkov's wife, former State Duma Deputy Maria Maksakova, lost consciousness.
