Censor.NET reports citing Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko's comment on Facebook.
"It was the most cynical murder of one of the witnesses in the treason case filed against ex-President Yanukovych. Former State Duma member Denys Voronenkov was shot dead in downtown Kyiv in broad daylight. He gave the investigators of the military prosecutor's office extremely important testimony in this case. It was a demonstrative execution of a witness, habitual for the Kremlin.
"However, Voronenkov was not the only witness from among the Russian officials. The law also provides for entering to the case file the transcript of Voronenkov's testimony signed by him," Lutsenko said.
Earlier, Prosecutor General Lutsenko visited the scene of Voronenkov murder.
As reported, former Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Denys Voronenkov was shot dead in downtown Kyiv. The hitman also managed to injure Voronenkov's bodyguard. The incident took place outside Kyiv's Premier Palace Hotel.
