Ukraine's Chief Anti-Corruption Prosecutor Nazar Kholodnytskyi said on air of ZIK TV channel, Censor.NET reports.
The SAP head mentioned some high-profile cases, including against the chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine Mykhailo Okendovskyi.
"As for Okhendovskyi, the investigation is underway, and the deadline has been extended until April 14. Tomorrow, we'll have a meeting with detectives on the matter. I stress that at the time of serving the indictment, there were sufficient grounds to believe this person could be involved in the commission of a crime. I took the responsibility and signed the indictment without detectives. If the detectives follow the instructions and prove Okhendovskyi's guilt, an act will be drawn up. This is where time is needed," Kholodnytskyi said.
He also named five cases being of top priority for the SAP: "Nasirov [suspended tax and customs service chief - ed.], Okhendovskyi, Odesa Port Plant, United Mining and Chemical Company, and Ukrnafta."
