The police have released detained UNIAN correspondent Roman Tsymbaliuk, 1+1 TV channel cameraman Mykyta Borodin, and post-graduate student of the History School of Moscow State University Zakhar Sarapulov.

Censor.NET reports referring to UNIAN.

"Just now, they let us go," Tsymbaliuk told the news agency.

Today, the Moscow police detained UNIAN correspondent in the Russian Federation Roman Tsymbaliuk, 1+1 channel cameraman Mykyta Borodin,and post-graduate student of the History School of Moscow State University Zakhar Sarapulov, who on March 18 flew a Ukrainian flag from his dorm window on the anniversary of Crimea annexation.

According to the journalist, all three were detained after they recorded an interview with Sarapulov.

"After we recorded the interview, Zakhar took out the flag of Ukraine, and we also filmed it. Then the police approached and started checking our IDs. They said we had allegedly held a rally and, probably, shouted some sort of slogans; and now we are being taken to the police station located in the building of Moscow State University. They took away our passports and accreditation documents," Tsymbaliuk said.
