 Police boosts security measures in downtown Kyiv: over 1,000 law enforcers to maintain order on March 21-24

The police intend to enhance security measures in Ukraine’s capital making more than 1,000 police officers and members of the National Guard maintain law and order in the coming days.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of Kyiv's Main Directorate of the National Police.

"Mass rallies and the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are expected to be held in Kyiv on March 21-24. In addition to the government quarter, the law and order will be enforced at public transport stops and in the subway. More than 1,000 policemen and soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine will be engaged in maintaining order," the statement reads.

The law enforcers also call on the participants of mass rallies, Kyiv residents and visitors not to breach the law and observe the established rules of behavior.
