Military threat exists along Russian border, defense expenses might be increased, - Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has announced a military threat by Russia along the entire line of Ukraine-Russia border.

He said during the Regional Development Council meeting on March 20, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine.

"Russian military threat remains the major one. It comes not only from the occupied areas of the Donbas. It exists along the entire border with Russia.

"There is only one right answer to this threat. In 2014, our defense expenses were 1 percent of GDP, in 2016 we had jointly taken them to 3.2 percent level. I do not rule out that this share will have to be increased again," the president said.
