As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, this was stated by spokesperson for Ukraine's State Border Guard Service Oleh Slobodian.
"All kinds of cargo transportation across the demarcation line have been suspended since 1 p.m.," he said.
According to the official, this decision does not apply to civilians transporting small amounts of food and personal belongings.
"However, the National Security and Defense Council instructed the Cabinet to reconsider this regulation as well, thus changes might be introduced," Slobodian added.
According to the border guard, firms and organizations delivering large amounts of industrial merchandise or natural resources can no longer move them across the demarcation line.
"We are acting under a unified system of the security and defense sector, and we will implement the decisions taken by the National Security and Defense Council. We are already fulfilling them," Slobodian said.
As reported, the NSDC decided to suspend transportation of goods across the demarcation line in the Donbas on March 15. NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said after the meeting that all highways and railroads leading to the contact line had to be closed before 1 p.m.
