Pedestrian crossings at Donbas checkpoints continue operating, motorcars to be decided soon, - Donetsk governor Zhebrivskyi

Donetsk governor Pavlo Zhebrivskyi says motorcars carrying no goods will be allowed to cross the demarcation line.

The State Security Service should decide in the near future on the new rules of contact line crossing through checkpoints in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in the Donbas. The new rules are required due to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to restrict movement of freights across the Donbas contact line. This was announced by head of the Donetsk military-civil administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"There has been no explanations on motorcars. I think we will not close the demarcation line for civilians -- there will be a crossing. Whether motorcars should be allowed is being discussed at the moment in the State Border Guard Service. I think they will receive the instructions," the governor said.

In case a motorcar carries no goods through the checkpoint, it should be allowed to cross, Zhebrivskyi says. He also added the matter will be resolved in the near future.
