Civic volunteer Tetiana Barvinska said on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"On Tuesday, March 14, the Poltava region will bid final goodbye to Aidar Battalion fighter Anton Dzerin. The hero will be laid to rest in the village of Svichkareve. The ceremony will start at noon," she wrote.
As reported, Anton died on March 11, 2017 in a battle with an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group near the village of Berezove in the Donetsk region. Just a few months ago he turned 20.
Anton "Picasso" Dzerin was born on Nov. 26, 1996 in the village of Dryzhyna Hreblia in the Poltava region. In 2015, he went to war as an Aidar Battalion volunteer and proceeded to sign a contract with the army. He served as an IFV gunner of the 1st Assault Company, the 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" of the 53rd Separate Mobile Brigade.
Anton loved to draw; his callsign "Picasso" came from that passion. Dzerin is survived by his mother.
