Demchyna is the head of the Main Department for Fighting Corruption and Organized Crime, the so-called K Dept. His most recent income statement reads he owns not a single real estate property, nor cars or land plots. His registered address is an SBU dormitory. However, it turned out that Demchyna and his family live in an expensive house in Kyiv larger area. His partner owns four cars, two of which cost more than $100,000 each.

The journalists remind that SBU (the Security Service of Ukraine) is the only law enforcement agency that is allowed not to publish income statements of their employees. The information in the statements is considered sensitive and classified.
Slidstvo.Info found that Demchyna's partner, Olha Volovchuk, owns four cars, including a Range Rover 2016 worth $100,000, a Mercedes-Benz 2016 worth at least $100,000, a Mazda 2014 and a Peugeot 2012. She also owns a land plot not far from their family estate in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka (Kyiv larger area), where construction is currently underway.
Demchyna was filmed by journalists exiting from the luxurious home in Kyiv larger area. He said he does not own the house: "I regularly come here. This house... my children live here, so to say... The person owned it before we met."
