Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andrii Shevchenko says Canadian military training mission in Ukraine has been extended.

As reported by Censor.NET, the diplomat wrote on Twitter.

"Yes!" Canada has announced extension of the operation UNIFIER military training mission for another two years until March 2019. About 200 military [will be involved]," he wrote.

According to him, resumption of the mission was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland and Minister of National Defense Harjit Sajjan.

"It's the long-expected and necessary message of support, Thank you!" Shevchenko said.
