 PGO conducts searches in Kryvyi Rih city council, checks possible involvement of Mayor Vilkul in state funds embezzlement, - Lutsenko

The searches are being conducted in the Kryvyi Rih city council, at residences and business offices of directors and founders of companies involved in embezzlement of 200 million hryvnia ($7.4 million) allocated from the state budget in 2016.

This was announced by Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

"Today a number of searches is being held in the Kryvyi Rih city council, at residences and business offices of directors and founders of companies involved in embezzlement of 200 million hryvnia allocated from the state budget in 2016. The investigation also looks into possible involvement in the embezzlement of city Mayor Vilkul, his first deputy Udod, deputy Katrychenko, and other officials from the council and a number of companies," Lutsenko wrote.
