Leonid Matiukhin, the ATO Staff spokesman, said on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
"This was the most restless night in 4-5 months. Most attacks occurred in the Donetsk sector. Terrorists used tanks. Mortars hit Avdiivka, grenade launchers and small arms were fired on Kamianka and Zaitseve. Attacks on Avdiivka were non-stop and continue until now.
"In the Mariupol sector, 122 mm artillery pounded Shyrokyne and Vodiane, mortars hit Novotroitske, grenade launchers and small arms were used against Lebedynske and Pavlopil. Shyrokyne came under IFV fire.
"In the Luhansk sector, 152 mm and 120 mm artillery pounded Troitske and Krymske, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars shelled Novozvanivka, Orikhove and Troitske," Matiukhin said.
He added no casualties among the Ukrainian military had been reported as of the morning, March 1.
Yesterday, 117 enemy attacks were registered in the Donbas. As a result, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed, two wounded, one traumatized.
