This was announced by Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
"I myself use our roads. I understand and share the indignation of people. But I want to remind you that 95 percent of Ukrainian roads are in disrepair. And they didn't become European highways in the course of the winter. However, we'll be restoring roads in Ukraine this year, and the question of repair quality control is the major one," he said.
The minister added, the repair of 80 bridges and 2,000 kilometers of roads is among the plans for the current year.
The 2017 state budget provides for the allocation of 35 billion hryvnia ($1.28 billion) for the repair and reconstruction of Ukraine's roads.
