Shuliavskyi overpass collapse: drivers asked to use alternative roads, trolleybus routes changed

The city authorities ask locals and guests who are planning a trip to downtown Kyiv via the Shuliavskyi overpass not to use personal transport or choose alternative routes.

Censor.NET reports referring to the press service of the Transport Infrastructure Department of Kyiv's State City Administration.

"Due to the breakdown of the Shuliavskyi bridge, car owners who planned to use the overpass and surrounding streets are asked, if possible, not to use their transport," the message says.

City's ground and underground public transport is offered as an alternative.

Moreover, the city authorities have offered bypass routes: "The drivers who can not use the alternative [public transport] are suggested to alter their routes. For example, those who tend to use Dovzhenko Street are offered to move via Dehtiarivska Street instead. Borshchahivska Street can be used instead of V. Hetmana Street. Those who planned to move via Dovzhenka and Hetmana Streets are asked to refrain from this route."
