 Female police officer injured in yesterday’s clashes has her fingers broken, - National Police

The female police officer who was injured during clashes with supporters of trade embargo against the Donbas in downtown Kyiv on Feb. 19 has suffered a fracture of her fingers.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the Kyiv National Police communications department.

The criminal proceedings were initiated into infliction of injury to a law enforcement officer on duty under article 345 (threat or violence against law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The information about the number of victims is being specified.

The activists of the occupied Donbas blockade put up a tent near the presidential administration building, at the crossing of Bankova and Instytutska Streets in Kyiv. They later blocked Instytutska Street leaving just a narrow passage for pedestrians.

After that, the activists tried to put up a tent outside the Presidential Administration building. Four protesters, including OUN Volunteer movement branch chairman Mykola Kokhanivskyi were detained as a result of clashes between the rally participants and the law enforcement officers.
