The U.S. official wrote on Twitter, Censor.NET reports.
"In meeting with President Poroshenko today, I underscored U.S. support for Ukraine and full implementation of Minsk," Pence wrote.
It was reported earlier that at the Munich Security Conference, the U.S. vice-president Mike Pence declared that his country would demand that Russia honor a 2015 peace deal agreed upon in Minsk, aimed at ending violence in eastern Ukraine.
Moreover, the official added that the U.S. would "stand with Europe today and every day". At the same time, Pence did not offer any detailed policy proposals during his remarks, expressing in broad terms the U.S. commitment to fighting radical Islamic terrorism and to the NATO alliance, which Trump lambasted as "obsolete" during last year's presidential campaign.
