 Eight houses damaged in last night attack on Avdiivka, no casualties reported, - National Police. PHOTOS

Last night, enemy artillery struck a residential area in the so-called “old Avdiivka” (a part of the town closer to the front line). The attack damaged civilian homes; one house has been completely obliterated by fire. So far, no casualties have been reported.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service for the National Police in the Donetsk region.

"The artillery hit a [residential] area in the vicinity of the industrial zone. The explosions on Levanevskoho, Soborna and Lermontova Streets damaged eight houses of local residents, with the roofs, walls and windows suffering most. On Kolosova Street, a private house burnt down as a result of a direct hit. By preliminary data, nobody has been hurt," the message says.

The police arrived at the scene to assist civilians and document the effects of the attack.

"Militants don't stop shelling civilians in Avdiivka. The town's old part comes under direct fire. For the past night alone, three private houses on Kolosova and Lermontova Streets were destroyed. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported," Donetsk region police chief Viacheslav Abroskin said on Facebook.
