As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, this was announced by Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk on air of Inter TV channel.
"We are now at the final stage, will negotiate all matters in the near future. As soon as the memorandum is signed, getting another batch will be a matter of days. The money will be used to boost the reserves of the National Bank, which will contribute to the strengthening of the hryvnia," the minister said.
He added it would take just a few days to negotiate all the issues.
In December 2016, Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeriia Hontareva voiced the possibility of obtaining another IMF tranche in January.
In mid-January, after negotiations with the IMF leadership in Davos (Switzerland), Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk said the allocation was postponed until early February.
Later, he said some technical details needed to be discussed to obtain the money.
