As reported by Censor.NET, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said at a joint press point with Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis.
"On Thursday, Lithuania will celebrate the 99th anniversary of its Act of Independence. With NATO, you will never lose that independence again," NATO chief said.
As reported by UNIAN, the Lithuanian PM in turn said: "We know what losing independence means. We know how much it costs to rebuild the state and democracy." He also assured that Lithuania intended to make every effort not to lose its statehood ever again and not to divert from the democratic path.
