Parubii expressed this opinion as he was paying a visit to a military unit in the Lviv region on Feb. 13, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"I believe that if martial law is ever introduced, it should be declared throughout the country," Parubii said.
He noted that "all these plans" provide for major government reorganization.
"But, of course, we will have to make this decision in the event of a large-scale attack and offensive. The decision must be prepared for the adoption as recent developments in Avdiivka have shown us that such an offensive is quite possible. But this decision is the sole responsibility of the president of Ukraine, the National Security and Defense Council... I think the Verkhovna Rada will support this decision without hesitation, although it will be an extremely hard one," the speaker said.
Asked what he thought of the trade embargo of the occupied territories, Parubii said: "This is one of the issues being tackled by our Committee which has been proposed to review the law on the occupied territories. A working group has been created and now the issue is being discussed by this panel of experts. And in fact, I'm waiting for the committee's decision, for their proposals as for the steps the Verkhovna Rada should take."
