 Grenade detonated in Lviv city. VIDEO

No one suffered as a grenade exploded in a yard of the city of Lviv.

This was announced by the head of the Frankivsky regional administration Taras Hnyda, Censor.NET reports citing Lviv city council.

According to Hnyda, the explosion was reported in the courtyard at 173 Horodotska Str. today around 9:00 a.m.

"Preliminary, an object resembling a grenade was thrown into the yard from the window. There was an explosion fired. No one injured. All the necessary services are working on site," the official reported.

The Lviv city council deputy Ihor Zinkevych wrote in Facebook that a grenade was thrown by a drunk 54-year-old local man, previously convicted. He said he fired a grenade because he was fed up with his life.

The man was apprehended under article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
