 Militants shelled Avdiivka, wounded two, - National Police

In the afternoon, Feb. 9, terrorists opened fire on Avdiivka's southern area, leaving two people wounded.

Censor.NET reports citing the press office for the National Police in the Donetsk region.

"Militants have again pounded the town's old part at around 2:40 p.m. Soborna and Turheneva Streets came under fire. A man, born in 1967, received a shrapnel wound. At the time of the shelling, the man was in his own courtyard at Soborna Street. He was taken to local hospital with his arm and shoulder blade wounded.

"Houses at 12 and 14 Turheneva Street also came under attack. Investigators are working at the scene. Information about casualties and damage is being clarified.

"Law enforcers are out on patrol to register damage and identify those who may need help," the report says.
