Spokesperson for Ukraine's Defense Ministry on anti-terrorist operation (ATO) issues Oleksandr Motuzianyk told a briefing today, Censor.NET reports.
"Photojournalist Christopher Nunn wounded in Avdiivka continues receiving medical care in Dnipro City. He gradually regains his sight. Christopher's right eye has recovered by 90 percent. The left eye, which sustained major damage, has started responding to light," he said.
As reported, British photographer Nunn was wounded in militants' strike on Avdiivka on Feb. 2. The journalist was evacuated to the 66th military hospital with eye trauma and was later taken to Mechnikov regional hospital in Dnipro City after medical survey. Nunn was later transferred to the specialized eye care clinic after necessary tests, where the doctors performed an operation on his left eye. The doctors expressed hope that Nunn will completely regain his sight, but noted that treatment and rehabilitation would take long.
