"Yesterday, Russian occupation forces continued attacks on Avdiivka, employing Grad rocket systems, 152 mm and 122 mm artillery, tanks. Invaders made several attempts to attack Ukrainian defenders but were forced to retreat after suffering significant losses," the report notes.
Blatantly neglecting the cease-fire agreement, terrorists continued shelling Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka in the evening. Verkhniotoretske came under massive artillery fire.
In the Mariupol sector, occupants hit Vodiane with Grad rockets and 122 mm artillery. The enemy employed 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms against Krasnohorivka. Hranitne, Bohdanivka and Shyrokyne came under artillery and mortar fire. Mortars of various calibers were used in attacks on Marinka and Chermalyk. Attacks on Shyrokyne, Novotroitske, Novomykhailivka and Novohryhorivka involved grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the Luhansk sector, militants employed 152 mm and 122 mm artillery against Krymske and Vrubivka, mortars against Katerynivka, Novozvanivka, Troitske and Popasna, small arms against Krymske.
Two Ukrainian soldiers died, 14 were wounded and traumatized on Feb. 1.
