This was said by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"The president instructed to immediately inform the U.N. Security Council, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, our partners in the OSCE and our allies in the Council of Europe about the emergency situation in Avdiivka," Klimkin said.
Earlier, Poroshenko cut short his working visit to Germany because of the emergency situation in Avdiivka caused by the Russian militants' attacks.
As reported, the militants launched an offensive operation in the vicinity of Avdiivka's industrial zone on the morning of Jan. 29. Ukrainian soldiers managed to take militants' positions and gain tactical advantage at this section of the contact line after two days of battles.
The Ukrainian Army also reportedly incurred losses near Avdiivka.
