 President Poroshenko discussed escalation in Donbas with German Foreign Minister Gabriel

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed concern over the truce breached by the Russian militants.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the presidential press office, Poroshenko congratulated Sigmar Gabriel on his appointment to the post of foreign minister.

The parties discussed the situation in Donbas and the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements, first of all in terms of security.

Poroshenko expressed concern over the violations of the cease-fire deal by the Russian militants, particularly in the vicinity of Avdiivka.

The head of state emphasized the importance of preserving sanctions against Russia until Moscow implements all its commitments under the Minsk agreements and restores Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, including Crimea.

Ukrainian president invited the minister to visit Ukraine.
