 Militants opened fire upon Ukrainian positions 56 times yesterday, employed Grads, 122 mm artillery, IFV and armored vehicles weapon, - Staff

Over the past 24-hour period, Russian militants opened fire upon positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire demarcation line in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area in the east of the country.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO Staff press center in its report posted on Facebook.

"Mariupol direction. Using BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), the occupants fired 20 missiles upon our positions in Talakivka area. Using Grad P MLRS, 122 mm artillery, mortars of various calibers, grenade launchers and small arms, the enemy conducted fire upon Vodiane," the message reads.

Lebedynske got under 122 mm artillery fire by the militants. Krasnohorivka was impacted from mortars of various calibers. Hnutove, Palvopil, Shyrokyne, Krasnohorivka, Talakivka came under grenade launcher and small arms fire. Shyrokyne was shelled from IFV and armored vehicle weapons.

"In Donetsk direction, occupants attempted attacking our positions in Avdiivka area two times. They incurred losses and were forced to retreat. During the day, they continued mortar shelling upon Verkhniotoretske, Avdiivka, Opytne, Luhanske, Zaitseve and Kamianka. The tanks were firing upon Novhorodske and Pisky," the report reads.

In Luhansk direction, the enemy conducted fire from mortars of various calibers and grenade launchers upon Novooleksandrivka, Troitske, Popasna and Novozvanivka.
