Russian snipers attack Ukraine’s Pochaiv ship from seized Chornomornaftohaz rig, - Ukrainian Naval Forces. PHOTOS

Naval Forces of Ukraine disprove Russian media reports about alleged attacks on the rig seized by the Russian invaders committed from the Ukrainian vessel. In fact, it was the Russian sniper who fired upon the Ukrainian ship.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the Ukrainian Navy press office.

"Certain news outlets (mainly pro-Russian) have recently cited a senior official of a security agency of the Russian Federation as saying that an attack was allegedly committed on seized Chornomornaftohaz rigs from Ukrainian Navy Pochaiv diving support vessel.

"Of course, the information immediately evolved into a cause célèbre. We have already heard the version of our "neighbor". It would be great to hear the truth now. The truth is that the information was turned upside down. In contrast to the unsubstantiated statements traditionally made by the Russian officials without evidence and justification, we have proofs to show to the audience - the bullet halls on the cabin of Pochaiv diving support vessel made by sniper attacks.

"This can be illustrated by the images below. The question is: who is to be actually blamed and how much more proofs are needed to show the international community the villainy and hypocrisy of this "white and fuzzy" state? We would also like to add that we try not to seek confrontation, try to be restrained despite plenty of reasons not to do so. Everyone is fed up with Russia's lies and propaganda. We urge them to finally learn to speak the truth," the statement reads.
