Women at war: Maria Berlinska, civil volunteer of Ukrainian Army, - Hromadske. VIDEO

Maria Berlinska is a Kyiv-Mohyla Academy graduate and has a Master’s Degree in History. She is a now a volunteer with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Berlinska was collecting money for thermal scopes when she realized that drones could save the lives of hundreds of soldiers. She founded the Ukrainian Center for Drone Intelligence, which provides the Ukrainian Army with drones and teaches people how to fly them, Censor.NET reports citing Hromadske.

"We are losing this country. The war has been going on for three years. There are still "Cargos 200" [dead soldiers - ed.]. We don't even have Phantoms - the Chinese drones that cost $1,000!" she explains.

The Center received 140 thousand hryvnia (about $5,500) in financial aid since Berlinska began her advocacy campaign.
