PACE adopts resolution on democratic institutions in Ukraine as Russia lacks votes for amendments

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has passed the resolution on the functioning of democratic institutions in Ukraine.

Ukrainian lawmaker, member of the Verkhovna Rada delegation to PACE and Assembly Vice-President Heorhii Lohvynskyi wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"PACE Resolution The Functioning of Democratic Institutions in Ukraine has been adopted. The score is 106 [for] versus 11 [against], again in favor of Ukraine," he said.

"It is important that our opponents failed to replace the term 'Russian aggression' with 'internal conflict' and 'elections at gunpoint' with 'free vote'," the diplomat stressed.
