Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center as of Jan. 23, 2017.
The statement reads: "Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Shyrokyne in Mariupol direction were repeatedly shelled with 120 and 82 mm mortars. Pavlopil, Hnutove, Talakivka, Novotroitske, Shyrokyne, Vodiane, and Lebedynske came under fire with grenade launchers and small arms. The enemy snipers committed attacks in Novotroitske and Shyrokyne.
"The occupants shelled Troitske village in Luhansk direction with 122 mm artillery, 120 and 82 mm mortars. Novozvanivka and Popasna came under strikes with various caliber mortars. Grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms were employed against Krymske, Troitske, Novozvanivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Stanytsia Luhanska - the village designated for disengagement of troops and hardware.
"The Russian occupation forces shelled Luhanske village in Donetsk direction with 120 mm mortars. Avdiivka, Zaitseve and Opytne were fired upon with grenade launchers and small arms. Sniper attacks were recorded in Pisky. The enemy employed weapons of infantry fighting vehicle against Luhanske.
"A total of 51 attacks were recorded over the past day. Two our soldiers were wounded," the situation report reads.
Earlier, four Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in 41 assaults committed in the ATO area on Jan 22.
