Censor.NET reports citing MP Anton Herashchenko's Facebook.
"Jan. 20 is my second birthday. This is the day when the SBU apprehended two people who planned my murder,'' he wrote.
Herashchenko is positive that the fact he was chosen to be a target of the Russian security services means that all he does to protect the national security and Ukraine's interests is right.
He emphasized that the court took into account the fact that one of the detainees ''was granted amnesty by the occupation authorities of Crimea and Russian special services in order to engage him into subversive work against Ukraine.''
According to article 112 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the suspects may face life imprisonment.
''The suspects are important witnesses of the planned and deliberate state terrorism organized by the Russian Federation. Their lives must be out of danger so that they could help uncover the subversive terrorist network,'' Herashchenko wrote.
