This was announced by Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko's press secretary Larysa Sarhan, Censor.NET reports.
She wrote that after receiving a report by Zhytomyr regional prosecutor's office head about the incident that occurred in Olevsk, Korosten district, on Jan. 15, 2017, when one person was killed, Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko found the work of Korosten prosecutor office head unsatisfactory and made a decision to dismiss the person from the office.
The incident should be further investigated by Prosecutor General's Office and the National Police, Sarhan wrote.
Jan. 16, an armed attack was committed in downtown Olevsk against local residents. Unknowns fired pistols and rifles at young people in the parking outside a cafe and threw a grenade into the crowd. The police have launched a criminal proceeding into the incident that left six people wounded and one dead.
