 Parliament allows foreign troops to arrive in Ukraine for training

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted the law on approval of the resolution of the president of Ukraine to allow military units of other states to arrive in Ukraine in 2017 to participate in multinational exercises.

The document was supported by 236 people's deputies.

It settles the question concerning the admission of the armed forces of other states to the territory of Ukraine in 2017 for taking part in multinational military exercises.

The law determines the total number of military personnel, types and quantity of arms, military equipment, length of stay and sites for the period of the exercises.

In particular, it stipulates the admission procedure for such Ukrainian-American exercises as Sea Breeze 2017 and Rapid Trident 2017.
