 Alliance will not give up on Ukraine after Trump takes office, - NATO's Pavel

NATO does not intend to change its stance on Ukraine under the new White House.

Chairman of NATO's Military Committee, General Petr Pavel said on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

There are no reasons to expect the alliance will change its position with regard to Ukraine, Pavel said following NATO's 176th Military Committee meeting.

According to him, NATO keeps working with Ukrainian partners, helping them to strengthen the country's defense capacity, implementing training programs, keeping in touch through its liaison office and carrying out its assistance package for Ukraine.

The general offered reassurance this would continue under the Donald Trump administration.
