 OSCE managed to recover male body under fire in Zolote-4, - National Police

On afternoon Jan, 17, Popasna police received a call from a female about a body with gunshot wounds lying on the ground not far from his house at Vilna Street in Zolote-4, Popasna district, the Luhansk region. The body was of a 57-year-old male local resident, presumably killed in "LPR" shelling.

The police says its employees left for the scene but were not able to take away the body and inspect the crime scene as they were fired at by Russian militants from small arms in direction of Zolote-5 village, occupied by "Luhansk People's Republic."

A second visit was scheduled for 8 a.m. Jan. 18, together with OSCE representatives to grant security and stop the fire.

"We have just received information that OSCE representatives have taken away the body of the killed man from the fire area. They are driving it to the government-control area for forensic investigation," the agency reported.

Earlier, Luhansk regional state administration said an investigative police team that arrived in Zolote-5, the Luhansk region, upon a call of a local female resident was fired at by Russian militants from small arms.
