No one allowed to revive old schemes in health care system, - Hroisman

The prime minister of Ukraine says he will not allow the return of old schemes in the Ukrainian health care system.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine, he said it during a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

"I will not let anyone revive old schemes in the health care system. But I understand that many of those who possibly criticize our actions may have good intentions, so I would ask the Ministry of Health to get in touch with these people, listen to them, understand possible problems either at the ministerial or governmental level," the prime minister said.

Hroisman also noted nobody has comprehensively dealt with the health care system over the years of Ukraine's independence.

Earlier, Hroisman said about the necessity of introduction of a health insurance system in Ukraine.

Plans to introduce compulsory health insurance in Ukraine has been on agenda for quite some time now. In particular, the new parliamentary coalition's agreement provides for such a reform. It offers to create conditions for private providers' free access to the market of medical services guaranteed by the state, as well as for the purchase of services from private providers by local authorities.
