 Sanctions must stay as long as Russia fails on Minsk deal and Crimea's return, - Biden

Sanctions against Russia should be maintained until it fully implements the Minsk agreements and returns Crimea to Ukraine.

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said during his visit to Kyiv, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, both the United States and the EU and G7 have made it clear that sanctions will continue until Russia completely fulfills its obligations under the Minsk agreements.

Sanctions against the Russian Federation over Crimea must stay until Russia returns the peninsula to Ukraine, Biden said.

Earlier, U.S. President Elect Donald Trump said he was ready to offer easing of sanctions to Russian President Vladimir Putin in exchange for cutting nuclear weapons.
