One person died and six received injuries in a shoot-out in Olevsk, the Zhytomyr region.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the local police, at about 1 a.m., Jan. 15 a shoot-out involving several dozens men occurred in the city's central square. By preliminary information, the conflict was triggered both by casual argument and a showdown between local residents and visitors from Lviv.

As a result, seven people suffered gunshot wounds: four residents of the Olevskii district and three persons from Lviv, one of whom died in hospital.

The police have instituted a criminal proceeding under articles 15 and 115 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder) and part 4, article 296 (hooliganism).
