 Pro-Russian militants increase intensity of fire: 78 cases of shelling yesterday, three Ukrainian soldiers wounded, - Staff

Over the past 24-hour period, three Ukrainian military received injuries. A total of 78 cases of fire have been recorded.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff's press center in a report as of morning of Jan. 13, 2017, posted on Facebook.

The Staff reported of shelling conducted by Russian invading troops upon the ATO units' positions in Vodiane and Shyrokyne. Palvopil, Hnutove, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Vodiane and Shyrokyne were fired at from grenade launchers and small arms, Talakivka came under IFV weapon fire. A sniper was active in the area of Shyrokyne and Talakivka.

In Luhansk direction, occupants employed 152-mm artillery upon Kalynovo-Popasna and Novozvanivka. The Russian troops conducted fire upon Zolote, Sentianivka, Novozvanivka, and Krymske. In addition, Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka came under grenade launcher and small arms fire.

In Donetsk direction, Luhanske, Troitske, and Zaitseve were impacted by 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. Grenade launchers and small arms fire were used by militants to shell Ukrainian Army's positions near Kamianka, Luhanske, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, and Troitske. An enemy IFV conducted fire upon Luhanske.

"A total of 78 cases of fire were recorded. Three our military received injuries," the message of the Staff reads.

On Jan. 11, pro-Russian militants committed 62 cases of fire upon ATO positions. Four Ukrainian fighters got wounded, one received a trauma, and one fighter was killed.
