 Bodies of three Ukrainian soldiers considered missing in Donbas since Jan. 8 taken by militants, - TSN

Three servicemen who went missing at the demarcation line in the Donetsk region on Jan. 8 might have been killed.

As reported by Censor.NET, a cousin of one of the deceased soldiers, Serhii Sonko, told TSN.ua.

The soldiers, who called Sonko's relatives, said the bodies of three Marines were taken by the militants.

"The swap could take place back yesterday. A commission from Kyiv arrived at the checkpoint, spent some time there waiting for them, but then the separatists messaged that they would not hand over the bodies. The talks on the return of bodies should be held today or tomorrow," the soldier's cousin said.

Serhii Sonko was 23 years old. He decided to defend his homeland from the enemies about a year ago. He was the commander of the Marine Corps' 3rd Squad. Serhii was also a law school correspondence student. The soldier is survived by his mother living in Kherson and a girlfriend living in Mykolaiv.

According to sources, the names of the other two deceased military were Serhii, 30 and Mykola, 54.

The ATO Staff press center earlier reported about three Ukrainian servicemen who went missing in the ATO zone in the Donbas after they left their military base.
