Eight people died and 45 were injured due to poor weather and road conditions in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the National Police press service.
The road traffic is being limited in the Lviv region as of 9 a.m. Jan. 9. The movement of trucks in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions is partially restricted.
"The traffic situation in Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions remains highly dangerous. The road conditions in the Lviv and Vinnytsia regions also remain difficult," the statement reads.
