This was announced by First Deputy Commander of Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Oleksandr Lokota, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"This is not the first winter in the ATO area, and every year we take into account the former experience of preparation. The military performing tasks in the Donbas are provided with fuel, wood and coal. They also have enough of heating means," he told journalists in Kyiv on Friday.
According to Lokota, the preparation for the winter period in the ATO area was held in advance.
"For those in trenches, winter has always been an ordeal. But we've got everything prepared in advance. In October, we held meetings and heard reports by commanders at all levels. Now, any problems that occur are resolved quickly at the field level," he said.
Lokota stressed: "I am ready to say we'll survive this winter and fulfill all the tasks."
