In a phone call on Dec. 19, 2016, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Joe Biden coordinated actions to support Ukraine in the context of the cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The Cabinet of Ministers expects that the IMF's fourth installment under the EFF program that Ukraine may receive in February will amount to $1 billion.

However, the final size of the tranche is likely to be fixed after Poroshenko and IMF Managing director Christine Lagarde meet during the World Economic Forum in Davos scheduled for Jan. 17-20.
