 No Ukrainians killed in Istanbul attack, - Foreign Ministry

The New Year's night attack in Reina night club claimed lives of 39 people. None of them were Ukrainians, as known so far.

This was announced by the Consulate Service Department of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry on Twitter, Censor.NET reports.

"Out of 39 people killed in Istanbul, 21 persons have been identified. None of them are Ukrainian citizens. The consuls stay in touch with the police," the message reads.

Earlier, BBC reported of 39 killed and 70 wounded in New Year's night attack on Istanbul Reina night club. A man entered the club during the New Year celebration, opened fire, killing dozens, and subsequently fled.

Ukraine's Consulate in Istanbul is operating a hotline in connection with the attack.
