On Dec. 31 at around 5 p.m. the MP was returning home with his wife. On a road in the forest they run into a vehicle without parking lights. As Pashynskyi came out of his car to ask the other driver to turn on the lights, one of the men who were with the driver turned out to be drunk, the MP stated.
"He attacked me with a bottle in his arm and threats to kill us. I had a gun, so I made a warning shot in the air. The attacker did not stop, he hit me in my head with the bottle, and I fell down. I was only able to stop the attacker when I shot him in his leg as I was laying down," Pashynskyi wrote.
The MP says the man was given assistance, and they called the ambulance and the police. The man has been taken to hospital.
