 Road repair to grow twofold next year compared to 2016, - Ukravtodor

The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) plans a 2.2 increase in the repair of country's roads in 2017 compared to the expiring year.

The figures were unveiled during the final press conference of Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

The repair of up to 2,200 km of roads will be made possible due to the next year's increase in funding of the road sector to 35 billion hryvnia ($1.291 billion).

Ukravtodor's chief Slawomir Nowak says the company plans to carry out technical audit of road condition, introduce an effective truck weighing system, and scale up cooperation with international financial organizations.
